Independent Reading #8

Today I am going to write a quote truly grabbed my attention while reading “The Fault in Our Stars”. The quote said by Hazel’s father after she told her parents that she wanted to be far from people because she would not want to hurt any person, when passing away, then she lifted. After lifting to her room she heard her parents’ whispered conversation. Her father while he was crying said “it kills me.” Her father’s reaction honestly made me felt sad. This reaction happens only when fathers cannot do anything for their children (Page100).

  1. Hi, majd
it is very interesting quote, it is really very sad when parents are incapable of doing something towards their kids. worse that that is when they see their kids dying in front of them .

    Thanks

  2. Hi Majd,

It is very disappointing and painful feeling when someone knows that he or she no longer lives. However, we can learn from this quote that there is no different between Hazel and we because each one of us does not know when we die, may be that would be before Hazel's death or other people who suffer from fatal illness.

    Ahem:)

  3. Hi Majd,

The quote remind me of some stories. I partially could understand her mind because her saying is quite understandable.
